Come and enjoy dinner and a movie at the historic Eltham Hall (getting there). This venue features excellent acoustics and a large modern screen. The hall sits in a quiet location on the banks of Wilson River and during the summer months, dining is available in the cooler outdoor area.
Meals include main and dessert, with a variety of home-made dishes available from the servery. We cater for vegetarian but please consult with our volunteer staff on the night. Tea and coffee are included with meals however patrons are welcome to BYO drinks. Bookings are advised to avoid disappointment.
Movies are usually screened monthly except for the Xmas period and chilly winter months. Our films are current, award-winning movies from around the world including Europe, Middle East, Asia, Chile, US & Australasia. Our projectionist is Noel Jeffries. All funds raised go to Eltham Railway Cottage.
A good way to keep informed of upcoming movies is through our Email-list. These movie notifications are strictly limited, with an initial email sent a few weeks prior to screenings. To subscribe please use our simple online form. You can easily unsubscribe here or otherwise send us an email.
We encourage intending patrons to book, particularly as our meal tickets can sell-out. Bookings can be made by phone, email or our simple online-booking form. There’s no fee when making a booking and your ticket reservation can be paid at the event. Cancellations don’t require payment.
Tickets can be purchased at the door from 6pm on the night (sorry, cash only) but we advise patrons to book these tickets. Prices are: Meal & Movie ticket $25, Movie Only ticket $10 and Meal Only ticket $15. John is our usual doorman on the night. If you need any further info please contact us.
A big thankyou to the many people who have attended our film nights and to individuals who help run the event. Also to organisations (small & large, local & national) that generously promoted our event. Without all this support we couldn’t run the film nights. See our acknowledgement list.
Feedback or suggestions are most welcome and can help to improve our event. An example could be a good independent or foreign film you’ve recently seen. Please contact us with your feedback or otherwise chat with our volunteers at the event.
